A Visual Sample of What We Do

These videos are samples of the connection we like to create with our kids.
Each individual program looks different from the next because we customize the program to fit the child.

*Increasing Language Without Working So Hard*

                                                              Meet Trey:
Trey loves to say the least amount possible to get what he wants.  His common language consists of single-words (mostly nouns) or the general phrase "Help me".
Trey starts by saying "Paint" and when Julie is ultra responsive, Trey is inspired to work his way to saying "Help me get green paint!"
                                                              Trey and Julie, Carlsbad, CA

                                                              Jack and Julie, England, UK
(A dinner with the family turned
into a photo shoot to capture Jack's smiles.)

                                                              *A Priceless Giggle*

                                                              Meet Jack:
When children (or people for that matter) are motivated, they will do anything!  We don't have to sit at a table & do drills to evoke eye contact from a child.  Instead, we play, we find what they love and make it bigger and they are inspired to look!  It's amazing to see we don't have to work as hard as we think we do!

                                                              *A Father Helps His Son
                                                              Become More Open To Variation*
                                                              Meet Morgan and Matthew:
This was filmed during an outreach to a family's home in Washington.  Julie observed the interaction between father and son and shared ideas on how to work through their goals.

                                                              Father and Son, Enumclaw, Washington

*Persistence Through Play: Working on Social Flexibility*

                                                              George and Julie, Costa Rica
                                                              Meet George:
A common goal amongst the kids we work with is to spark an interest in other people and showing curiosity and openness to our ideas.  Many people tend to give up on an activity if a child doesn't show interest right away.  Watch as Julie switches between his ideas and her idea, encouraging his flexibility. Also, notice the playful persistence, and look at the baby steps it takes to get to the final goal of George being open to her idea.
