Chicken Pox (Varicella) Virus Vaccine 04/11/2011

Remember when we used to get the Chicken Pox?

Remember Chicken Pox Parties where we purposely exposed our kids to the virus so their bodies could naturally build its immune system to prevent future outbreaks?

This is one of many vaccines that have been added to the list of diseases to avoid.

Contains:
Ethylenediamine-Tetraacetic Acid Sodium (EDTA) [a metals chelation agent], Bovine Albumin or Serum, Antibiotics, Monosodium glutamate [MSG], MRC-5 DNA and Cellular Protein, Neomycin, Potassium Chloride, Potassium Phosphate Monobasic, Sodium Phosphate Monobasic, Sucrose.

Possible Reactions:
Febrile seizures, encephalitis, Varicella-like rash, upper respiratory illness, lower respiratory illness, eczema, encephalitis, facial edema, cold/canker sore, aseptic meningitis, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, Bell's palsy, pneumonia, secondary bacterial infections.

Hepatitis B Vaccine - Typically Given On Day One Of Life 04/11/2011

The virus is found in the blood and body fluids of infected persons and can be spread through sexual contact; the sharing of needles or razors; from mother to infant during birth; and by living in a household with an infected person.

Contains:
Aluminum Hydroxyphosphate Sulfate, Amino Acids, Dextrose, Phosphate Buffers, Potassium Aluminum Sulfate, Formaldehyde or Formalin, Mineral Salts, Soy Peptone, Yeast Protein

Possible Reactions:
Influenza, febrile seizure, anorexia, upper respiratory tract illnesses, herpes zoster, encephalitis, palpitations, arthritis, systemic lupus erthematosus (SLE), conjunctivitis, abnormal liver function tests, Guillain-Barré syndrome, Bell's palsy, multiple sclerosis, anaphylaxis, seizures.

DPT (Diptheria-Pertusis-Tetanus) or DTaP (Diptheria, Tetanus, Toxiods, and Acellular Pertussis) Vaccine 04/11/2011

The DTaP (Diptheria, Tetanus, Toxiods, and Acellular Pertussis) Vaccine Absorbed contains Aluminum Phosphate, Ammonium Sulfate, Aluminum Potassium Sulfate, Thimerosal [a vaccine preservative that is approximately 50% mercury by weight], Formaldehyde or Formalin, Glutaraldehye, 2-Phoenoxyethanol, Dimethyl-betacyclodextrin, Sodium Phosphate, Polysorbate 80 to name a few.

Some common reactions to this vaccine are:
Autism, fever, anorexia, vomiting, pneumonia, meningitis, sepsis, pertussis, convulsions, febrile, grand mal, afebrile and partial seizures, encephalopathy, brachial neuritis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, Sudden Infant Death syndrome

A Vaccine-Related Court Case Re: DPT

The Lassiter family presents Eric’s diptheria-pertusis-tetanus vaccination as the cause of his injuries, a diagnosis described as “static encepalopathy with autistic tendencies in addition to delayed development.” The judge rules that the Department of Health & Human Services’ “respondent’s evidence and proffered explanations are weak, unconvincing and insufficient” and that the Lassiter family “has presented a better case in support of. . . injury. The Court concludes that a preponderance of the evidence requires a finding for the petitioner."

The Division of Vaccine Injury Compensation, Department of Health and Human Services concedes that Hannah’s vaccinations aggravated her mitochondrial disorder, resulting in "features of autism spectrum disorder."

The Flu Shot 04/11/2011

Did you know... The flu shot contains 25 micrograms of ethyl-mercury, which also contains aluminum as a preservative?

For a 110 lb woman, 25 micrograms is 5 times more than the EPA Daily Mercury Limit.

For a newborn baby, it is 50 times more than the EPA Daily Limit.

The average tuna fish sandwich has 20 micrograms of methyl-mercury and pregnant mom's are not supposed to eat that. Tunafish even has selenium which binds with mercury to help protect the body.

Why are they recommending pregnant mommies get the flu shot?

The Parents Perspective Begins 04/11/2011

After speaking with hundreds of parents I have come to see a commonality between the majority (not all, but most) of their experiences.

The very muddled down version is something like this:
Their child was progressing typically.
They had a vaccination or a series of vaccinations.
Their child regressed within minutes, hours or days.

Clearly we do not know the direct cause of autism.
But we do know what parent's share.

This blog is a positive space, where parents can share their experiences.

The intention is to help educate through those experiences, in hopes to create opportunities for new families to be informed when faced with important decisions.

Please keep all posts respectful and based on your personal experience as we respect all decisions for each individual. We are not anti-vaccination. We are supporters of greening our vaccines, using a modified schedule, and weeding out vaccines that aren't as important or relevant for our individual children.

We are purely creating a space for others to hear what we hear every week. Our parents are a great resource and are often undervalued.
This is one place for your value to shine.
