An eight-week (plus holiday breaks), pressure-free exploration of human connection for nonspeaking and apraxic teens and young adults who utilize text-based communication, alongside their supporters. What does it mean to feel understood, build a friendship, navigate boundaries, or explore romantic relationships? How do we discover what we want from relationships and make room for connection on our own terms? Together, we'll explore the many dimensions of human relationships through thoughtful conversations, big questions, and shared perspectives. Topics include self-understanding, friendship, emotional awareness, boundaries, social confidence, attraction, dating, healthy relationships, and belonging. This isn't a social-skills class. There are no scripts to memorize, social expectations to perform, or milestones to meet. Instead, we'll create space to think deeply, share ideas when comfortable, ask questions, and explore relationships at our own pace. Participants will learn alongside one another, opening up conversations that honor autonomy, different communication styles, and each person's hopes for their future. Because meaningful relationships don't have one formula, and everyone deserves room to discover what connection looks like for them.
